Your Jungle Book Safari Itinerary

Day 1 Kanha


Located in the Mandia district of Madhya Pradesh, the Kanha National Park is a Tiger Reserve that extends over 1945 sq. km. of undulating country. Elevations range from 450 to 900 meters. A horseshoe shaped valley bounded by the. spurs of the Mekal ridge gives Kanha an interesting topography. Steep rocky escarpments along their edges offer breathtaking views of the valleys below. The grasslands at Kanha interspersed with forests of sal, teeming with varieties of deer - the barasinqha, chital (spotted deer), chousingha, nilgai, the majestic gaur (Indian bison) and wild pig, is 'tiger country'.


Transfer from Bandhavgarh N.P. to Kanha N. P. with private vehicle and driver, it takes around 5 hrs.

The luxurious, yet lightweight, ensuite tents have been designed in a contemporary style, with pressed bamboo wall panels, gorgeous bamboo floors and locally crafted furniture hewn from the timber of exotic Indian trees. Day 4 Bandhavgarh


Bandhavgarh National Park is a national park in the Umaria district of Madhya Pradesh. The density of the tiger population at Bandhavgarh is one of the highest known in India. The park has a large breeding population of panthers, bisons and various species of deer. Prior to becoming a national park, the forests around Bandhavgarh had long been maintained as a Shikargah, or game preserve, of the Maharajas and their guests.

The name Mahua Kothi is inspired from one of India’s most beautiful trees (Madhuca Indica, commonly known as Mahua). The 12 suites or Kutiyas (jungle village huts) have been recently built on the 40 acre grounds of the tented camp, which was formerly known as Churhat Kothi. The original kothi or homestead that comprised of the guest areas has been retained and renovated. However, the guest accommodation is all brand new. Each kutiya is accessed through private courtyards with shaded seating, traditional swings and mud floors. Other features include – Wooden shutters, tapered mud-coloured walls, handmade pottery roof tiles, ensuite bathrooms with twin hand basins mounted on a wooded log, local textiles, roll-down mats to keep the early morning sun out, ceiling fans and air-conditioning.

Day 5 Bandhavgarh


Strictly protected under Project Tiger, India remains one of the only countries where visitors can see the king of the jungle in the wild. While tiger sightings are never guaranteed, a number of India’s national parks are home to steady populations of this magnificent animal and provide good chances of an encounter. While an African safari takes place in 4x4 Jeep, an Indian safari is done aboard the most suitable and traditional means of jungle transport, on the back of a mighty elephant. This tour is a once and life-time experience, and catching a glimpse of one of the region’s most magnificent predator in the depths of its natural jungle habitat is a moment never to be forgotten.

In the quiet midday hours between game drives, you'll meet up with others from the lodge to explore the sprawling grounds of Mahua Kothi in the company of your naturalist. Day 6 Bandhavgarh


Prepare to journey back into the jungles of India for more wild life viewing, more specifically tiger tracking. These majestic creatures have been granted protection under Project Tiger, to freely roam the protected National Parks of India. enjoy this trek through the jungle on one of the two best modes of transport, a 4x4 Jeep or on the back of India's famous mammal taxi, the fearless Indian Elephant.
