Day 1
"Arrive in Beijing at any time and transfer to your hotel. In the evening, you will have a welcome meeting where you will meet your Tour Leader and your fellow travel companions, followed by a Beijing Duck dinner."
Day 2
"You will get an early start today and travel two hours outside bustling Beijing to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall of China. Spend time exploring the towers, views and enjoy your picnic lunch in the fresh air above one of the towers. This afternoon, you will have some time for shopping or exploring on your own. In the evening, you will attend a colorful martial arts performance featuring the monks of Shaolin."
Day 3
"Today you will delve into the history of Beijing, visiting the dramatic Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. Listen to the tales of the emperors and their concubines, a long crafted culture and rich tradition. You will also visit the Temple of Heaven and its surrounding grounds offering a chance to see locals whiling the hours away, practicing water calligraphy and Tai Chi, playing cards and walking pet crickets. Afterwards, you will have time to prepare for overnight sleeper train journey to Xi'an, which you will board in the evening."
Day 4
"Your train pulls into the station early this morning and you will enjoy a guided tour of the famed Terracotta Warriors built by Emperor Qinshi Huangdi over 2,000 years ago. In the afternoon you will visit the Temple of Heaven and Wild Goose Pagoda before you have some free time to explore on your own. Bike around the original city walls, wander through the bustling Muslim Quarter, street side food vendors, shopping lanes and the Great Mosque."
Day 5
"After a morning Tai Chi class you fly to Hangzhou, one of China's most popular destinations. The Chinese call Hangzhou Heaven on Earth, featuring the beautiful West Lake in the center of town. Enjoy a leisurely boat ride in the lovely pagodas and temples which dot the banks. In the afternoon, you will tour these pagodas and enjoy time sipping locally grown green tea while admiring the beauty of Hangzhou. Tonight you will sample a delightful local dinner."
Day 6
"Today you will journey to Wuzhen Canal Town, where the canals function for transportation as well as add to the mystical charm of the city. You will float down the canals on small boats, admiring the reflections over the peaceful waters. After lunch, you will head to the metropolis of Shanghai. Once you settle in your hotel, you will take your first walk on the Bund and admire the futuristic style."
Day 7
"Visit the Shanghai Museum to pursue the enormous collection, then take some free time to explore the city. In the evening, a performance by flexible and precise world famous Shanghai Acrobats is a perfect way to wrap up the day, followed of course by some Shanghai cuisine."
